Overview

Our  Toddler education, for children ages 10 months to 3 years, takes advantage of the toddler’s natural drive to act independently. Learning to care for themselves, others and their environment as well as refining their emerging fine and gross motor skills are the primary focus of this class. Classroom materials are always high quality, attractive, safe, and accessible. The atmosphere is safe, gentle, and loving which puts both children and parents at ease and makes for a relaxed learning environment. After their Toddler year, children join our Preschool curriculum.

Curriculum

Students in this classroom work in all areas of the Montessori curriculum including Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, and Math. They learn care of self, care of the environment and how to care for others. They are expanding their vocabulary skills immensely and beginning to learn their sounds as they are in their sensitive period for language. They learn their colors and numbers and spend much of their time in exploration of the environment around them through the exploration of rich materials and exciting learning opportunities prepared by the directress.
